Specific exercises performed during brace weaning can avoid loss of correction

It is generally accepted that any Cobb correction achieved whilst ‘in brace’, will be lost once weaning out is complete. Successful brace treatment is considered to have been achieved if the pre-bracing Cobb remains. This study found that specific exercises performed in the weaning period can help reduce the correction loss. It won the SOSORT award for Best Clinical Paper.
